AHF-Uganda Cares promotes condom use as a way for people to protect themselves and their partners against HIV and conducts regular HIV testing events. In addition, the project campaigns where it tests and refers the the positive people for treatment. Uganda Cares patients have a 98% treatment adherence rate to their antiretroviral drug regimens because of the intensive treatment adherence support and follow-up by community based organisations.

Defence for Children International-Canada (DCI-Canada) is the Canadian section of DCI, a world-wide movement in support of children’s rights. DCI was founded in 1979, the international year of the child.

The Global Fund for Women is a publicly supported, nonprofit grant making foundation that advances women’s human rights by funding women-led organizations worldwide. We provide general operating support grants to organizations working at the local, regional and national levels to enable women and girls to reach their potential and live free of discrimination and violence.

Girl Be basically stands for Girl In Real Life Breaking. Considering the challenges in our local,national and in’tl communities, we realised that there is need to break a lot of barriers to make our communities better places to live. It refers to an initiative that aims at empowering girls for self discovery through sharing knowledge, skills and space.

Educate! delivers to 16-20 year old youth within Ugandan schools a practical and relevant model of education, comprised of a leadership and entrepreneurship course, interactive teaching, intensive mentorship, experience starting an enterprise, and access to out of school networks and resources. Through advocacy and direct service in schools, we are working to get this model to be part of the education system.

We are a non-profit making Christian organization based in Kampala-Uganda. FAWE is a pan-African Non Governmental Organization formed in 1993 and registered in Nairobi, Kenya. FAWE is the fruit of five visionary and distinguished African Women Ministers of Education who resolved to walk the talk about the appalling state of girls’ education in Africa. They are Dr. Fay Chung of Zimbabwe, Vida Yeboah of Ghana, Paullete Moussavo-Missambo of Gabon, Simone de Comarmond-Testa of Seychelles and Alice Tiendrebeugo of Burkina Faso. They are the Founding Mothers or the dream team of FAWE.

Fighting for fair treatment and providing support for people who are survivors of sexual assault and violence

A.N.D International has been established to support victims of rape, whilst highlighting the issues surrounding the topic of sexual assault, raising awareness, standing up for victim’s rights and combating the stigma attached to rape.

We will be running campaigns, holding events, and eventually opening a safehouse in Kampala, Uganda to support women in crisis.

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI)

The Women in Democracy Network Uganda Chapter is a local civil society organization registered in Uganda. The organization seeks to enhance the knowledge, skills and opportunities for women, girls, youth and citizens by promoting exchange of information and best practices through training, provision of on line and face to face opportunities for capacity building and networking with women within and outside Uganda and establishing strategic partnerships in and outside Uganda to empower women to lead and citizens to participate in governance. The Women’s Democracy Network-Uganda Chapter is affiliated to Women’s Democracy Network (WDN).
